For well over a year now, I have gradually been collecting and making decorations for our wedding.
We have lots of honeycomb balls, tissue pompoms, fairy lights and bunting - glass jars, old vintage bottles, ribbon and lace - but I have just discovered a few more lovely bits.
We came home from Richmond Park via Croydon at the weekend, so we stopped off at Ikea. If you've not been in a while - then you may not have seen Ikea's paper shop. They have a new range called FÄRGTON - the card fan decorations are beautiful! They come in two colours - green (aqua) and grey, with an ombre effect. The large one is a huge 100cm wide and costs £6 and the smaller (still big) 50cm diameter fan costs £4. They really look stunning and I wish I had got a few of them now, apparently they are not available online so get down there quick!
To add to my collection, and also because I love the colour, I purchased another honeycomb ball in aqua, from the VISIONÄR range. They have spheres and heart shaped honeycomb decorations in many colours, 30cm in diameter cost £3 each.
From time to time Tiger stores stock various paper garlands, they change their stock regularly. I grabbed a few colourful paper garlands a few months ago for use at birthday parties and also some 10 metre colourful paper bunting. Prices range from £1 to £3.
Bunting always adds a lovely touch to any celebration, I've found some in an Etsy shop called Spoonangels, it's handmade and gorgeous in hesian, lace and cotton and they take custom orders. It costs £13.95 for 17 feet.
Lastly - lighting. We have clear fairy lights and I've ordered Starry String Lights on copper wires but I'd really like some festoon lights outdoors. It took me a while to even work out what to call these lights, you know the type that you see at carnivals and fairgrounds. Festoon lights aren't cheap - but you can pick up reasonably priced ones on Amazon for around £34.99 for a string of 20.
