Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Mother’s Day is coming up in the UK this Sunday, March 6. So, I have decided to put together a list of alternative gift ideas – flowers and chocolates are great, don’t get me wrong, but if you’re stuck for some inspiration have a scroll through these. There are presents to suit all budgets ranging from just £1 upwards. *Hint* I would be totally happy with anything on this list!

Ember Candle Co Skull Candles

These cute little soy-wax Skull candles are available in a variety of scents and colours and are made with 100% soy wax with natural dyes, are hand-poured and will burn for 8-10 hours. Current scents include: Vanilla, Coconut, Cherry, Raspberry, Orange and Cinnamon, Bubblegum, Peppermint and Sweet Almond, Cotton Candy, Parma Violets and Strawberries & Cream – check out the Etsy shop here. All candles are made to order. Prices start from £6.50.

Land and Furrow

I already have the Mama Bear pin from Land and Furrow which I love. It is hand printed onto shrinking plastic using lino and black ink and comes displayed on a hand-printed card for £3.50. I've had loads of compliments since wearing this.

This Mama Bear and Baby Bear card is hand printed in a heart of Spring flowers and it's beautiful. Each card comes with a hand printed envelope on 100% recycled card and paper costing £3.00.

Primark

Primark have a great range of homeware at the moment including 10 LED Blue Paisley Print Lights and a Coral Paisley lantern version too - both cost £6.00. We have the Coral ones already - they are gorgeous.

Primark also have some fab wooden wall hangings and canvases too - they start at just £1.00.

Pink Cut Out Bird £1.00. Mint Green Bird £1.50. Elephant £1.50 and Floral Canvas £3.00.

Tiger

One of my favourite shops at the moment is Tiger and these Plant Housing Bubbles are great. You can hang one of these spherical mini greenhouses from the ceiling and they are just £3.00 each and would look great with a succulent in.

These paper fans would make a colourful addition to any room and are just £1.00 each from Tiger.

Lush

Who doesn't love a Lush bathbomb?! love the Rose Jam Bubbleroon. Pep up your spirits in a bath filled with Rose Jam: lemon, rose and geranium oil will help perk you up, while Fair Trade cocoa and shea butter leave you feeling gorgeous. £3.75.

Karma £4.25

Get an instant lift with this bubble bar with exotic orange and patchouli fragrance. Sweet orange oil is refreshing, tangy and uplifting, as is lemongrass oil. This has to be my all-time favourite!

Alice and Ivory

This is an American brand that I discovered on Instagram - I really love their prints. Each print is made on thick Kodak photo paper 10x8 inches. I love this Dreamcatcher print - it is $15 US dollars. They ship to the UK.

Blue Nile

This online retailer is well known for being a pioneer of selling diamond jewellery online but they also have a variety of affordable jewellery for the masses. In particular, I like this drop pendant which features a cultured pear and white topaz accents. At only £46.80, it offers good value for money.

The Bee and the Fox

Another brand I discovered on Instagram with their very trendy Mama Bird tees. Professionally screen printed on cream American Apparel T-shirts.100% Fine Jersey cotton construction. Durable rib neckband. Form-fitting. £20.72.

Anthropologie

The Ayaka Mug from Anthropologie is just beautiful it comes in three colours and costs £12.00 it's also dishwasher and microwave safe too.
