Joie Trillo Booster Car Seat

I'm sure my kids all feel far too grown up to use a car seat! Finley is 6 and has been using a booster seat. It was pretty wobbly and used to slide about a bit (oh and it was pink!) not that he seemed too bothered.

Kiddies Kingdom kindly offered to send us the Joie Trillo Booster Car Seat to review - I was unsure whether it was necessary at first being that we just use standard booster seats in our car but with a few long journeys coming up this summer I thought he'd be far more comfortable.

The Trillo Group 2/3 car seat comes in Earl Grey or or Cherry and retails at £39.99 (£50 rrp). It is designed for comfort and safety with a height adjustable headrest, full side impact protection and isosafe connectors which anchor the seat to the car's isofix connection points.

The seat locks to the vehicle which makes it slip and slide resistant and makes it secure were you to have an accident.

The seat is described as: "An easy rider designed and engineered to give your little one a friendly boost from four years on. This deluxe seat features the finest in safety, style and comfort.

Enhanced safety features keep little riders fully protected while out on the town. Sleek and modern design is also loaded with comfort enhancing upgrades.100% manufactured in our state-of-the-art factory — custom tested at our in-house, government certified, advanced technology crash test facility to ensure precision engineering."

These seats are suitable for use between approx 4-12 years (15-36kg) it has ultra thick body cushioning and seat padding with padded arm rests - the seat cover is removable and washable. It also has two cup holders!

The seat arrived quickly in a large cardboard box, we got a text message from the courier telling us what time it would arrive. The seat comes in 3 pieces and easily connects together, my husband installed it into our car within two minutes and it feels so much more secure than the old seat.

Overall, Fin is super impressed as it reminds him of a racing car seat. he said it is comfy and likes the fact that he could nod off in comfort against the head rest rather than on his sister's shoulder. The two cup holders are also an added bonus.

We were really pleased with the service from Kiddies Kingdom and the quality of the car seat - I can't imagine he'll still be using it at the age of 12 but we will certainly get a few good years out of it.

*We were sent the car seat for review purposes - all opinions are my own*
