Oooooh, how was Christmas everybody? It always seems to whizz by after all of that prep! Just before Christmas, we received a rather exciting parcel - a very trendy looking, super comfy beanbag armchair from Bean Bag Bazaar - and what's more - they are supplying another one for one of you lucky people to win. Yay!
I love a bit of interior design, I tend to upcycle furniture as much as possible. Our downstairs is currently grey flooring, with white walls, midnight blue feature walls, loads of framed prints and painted grey furniture. There are pops of copper and turquoise everywhere - along with quirky, bohemian style prints.
We are a family of 5 and our evenings are usually spent indoors, cosied up with movies and games - it's all about the hygge. We have one sofa bed that just about fits us all on comfortably (at a squeeze) - a bean bag is something we'd been looking to get to add that little bit of extra seating.
I was offered to browse the website and choose a bean bag to review, I ummed and ahhed over the choices, would I go for faux fur or something else? Then I came across the velvet ones - the ICON Milano velvet lounge chair bean bag caught my eye, it comes in beautiful colours including mustard, navy, forest green and teal. Teal is a favourite of mine and I could just see it sat in the corner of the living room.
Our bean bag arrived in a huge cardboard box - it was partially filled and there was another fabric bag of beans which we easily stuffed inside to get the right level of comfort. The size is perfect for us - two kids have sat together on it and we have all enjoyed taking turns to sit in snugness.
The colour and velvet fabric are perfect, it adds that little touch of classiness - we have even reluctantly allowed the dog to sit on it (with a blanket over it of course and most certainly not after a walk).
In fact, we said we would even consider having these instead of our sofa - the quality is super!
